The Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic is the country’s special institution for the training of specialists in international affairs to work in its missions and embassies abroad.

The Diplomatic Academy was established by presidential decree on June 12, 2001. It is located in downtown of Bishkek and offers various types of training for professionals, such as:

  • short and long-term training, from one month to 4 years of diplomatic employees to serve in foreign missions and institutions of Kyrgyzstan in accordance with the tasks defined by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country
  • retraining ministry staff by reshaping them into new fields of work
  • Bachelor courses on international relations for bodies of the state power and governance of the Kyrgyz Republic such as the Government and Office of the President, as well as for other structures associated with the international affairs of the country
  • postgraduates training.
  • The Academy also produces training foreign citizens.
 

Education and retraining cover areas such as:

  • diplomacy
  • world politics and international relationships
  • consular case specialists by country,and economic , humanitarian and other contacts and relations of the country with foreign countries
  • general and international law, as well as
  • language professionals in areas such as English, French, Spanish, Turkish, Iranian studies, Arabic studies, Sinology, etc.

The academy has attracted some of the most experienced faculty locally and in foreign countries; academics, doctors, diplomats, deputies, foreign analysts and researchers, the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic and heads of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Established in 2001, the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan named after Kazi Dikambaev has taken a big step forward and has produced a number of worthy professionals in fields such as public administration, ministries and departments, as well as international organizations. Many continue their education at lead research centers around the world.

The Academy combines studies, science and communication as well as opportunities to try out a variety of activities ranging from amateur and cultural activities to sporting events, research projects and round tables with the participation of civil society.

The Diplomatic Academy meets all the criteria for ensuring the success of students and graduates. Great emphasis has been placed on providing a positive experience with respect to classes, technique, equipment, and more. The academy is located in the heart of the capital Bishkek, which allows students to quickly get to their place of residence or enjoy various recreational activities after school; this ideal location also helps let those who are new to the area get acquainted with the sights of the city.

Since February 2011, the academy has offered a class of Confucius to study the Chinese language and culture. In addition, classes are available for Iranian studies with language labs, etc.

Currently, the Academy expands training with relevant universities of the region, as well as with the neighbors and foreign partners.
